well COD/CS/etc...ARE the action games...otherwise you may be gearing towards RPGS like...dragon age?...and being a boy/girl/woman/man doesn't mean anything...unless you want a game that shoots flowers?
otherwise you can always browse for some free to play mmo's that will suit your tastes better
