Give everyone paper and pencil. While Mom is opening the presents, have them write down what she says about each gift. Such as "This is the nicest one I have ever seen." "I am not sure what to do with this, but I am sure (baby's dad) will help me figure it out"
Supposedly this is what Mom said the night baby was conceived. Have everyone read what she said and give a prize to the funniest one (if you want to give a prize...it is pretty funny to just read them)

Not really cool, but a couple of things we did....
Measure the baby bump and get all guests to write down their guess.
Ask guests to bring a baby photo and the mum to be has to judge who is the cutest.

set up a clothesline, get a basket of baby clothes, a phone and a doll. have everyone take turns trying to hang the clothes while holding the baby and talking on the phone. give each person only one minute. no one can drop the baby or the phone or they lose. who can hang the most clothes before the minute is up.
bring a doll with you! have everyone to kiss a part on the doll like her face, leg, hand, or whatever make sure to remember where they did! AT THE END tell them that now they have to kiss the mom to be where they kiss the doll, its pretty funny! OR another on is with a toilet paper roll have everyone rip how big is the belly (how many squares of toilet paper) then everyone has to go and measure the belly with it who ever wins gets a price.New baby sohwer games?
#1 take a roll of toilet paper and pass it around to everyone at the shower and make each one take off as much tp as they think it will take to fit perfectly around mommy to be's belly, who evers the closest wins
#1 take a bag and put a handfull of different baby necesities in it (ie. a baby rattle, pacifier, thermometer, teether, tube of rash cream, bottle etc) and have each person stick their hand in the bag and guess without looking what they are holding.
#3 give each person a pencil and a piece of paper...have them put the piece of paper on top of their head and draw a baby in the alloted amount of time (say 1 min) have mommy to be pick the 1 that looks the most like a baby and they are the winner.
#4 do a baby word scramble...
#5 using the letters of the alphabet have each person write down a baby item that starts with each letter of the alphabet...go around and tell what each person wrote and as they go through mark out the ones that were multiples...the one that gets the most(that no one else got) wins.

At my shower we folded pieces of white material into a diaper with a diaper pin and put mustard in one of them, give one to everyone and the winner has the poopy diaper. It's good when you have children there too. We also took the wrappers off of baby food and they had to guess what kind they were by smelling or tasting. Make shure you add a hard one like veal so everyone doesn't get them all right. We also filled a tray or diaper bag with baby items and passed it around for one look. Then take it away and see how many item they remember! Or you can have the pregnant mommy go into the other room and guest have to answer questions about her apperance. Or give everyone some toilet paper and they tear off how many sheets they think will fit aroung the mommy's belly, who ever is they closest wins! i've done so many baby showers!
