Is it weird for a girl to like violent video games?

im 14 and a girl. I only have about 2 friends that like violent games and my other friends think im just weird for it. Also at school me and my friend were talking about a game and this guy comes up and says you like video games? and we just go yeah so? Then he said wowww thats weird and walked away? So it got me thinking do you think its weird or cool for a girl to play video games?Is it weird for a girl to like violent video games?

Nooo!!! It's not, just because you're a girl and like violent video games doesn't mean it's weird. It's awesome! Girls are always put into the doll and pink category, things are changing and I don't think it matters much at this time. It's not weird at all. It's pretty amazing how we take so much interest into these kind of video games, it's not only fun but they're entertaining in a way that dolls and any other kind of 'girl' things. You know what, i think its fine...however, you should make sure to give an impression that you are NOT a computer geek or nerd. Just say its a way to enjoy yourself but your not obsessed with it. If at all, talk to your friends quietly so people don;t over hear. As long as you know that killing other people is wrong, who gives a s***.
Nah, that guy sounds pretty narrow minded tbh. I know plenty of girls who like those kinda games. They're cool :)
